Data from 30 litter fall traps located in three stands close to Svartbergets field station. Litter fall from trap 1-18 (spruce dominated stand), trap 19-28 (pine dominated stand) and trap 29-30 (clearcut area) has in most cases been collected twice a year (spring and autumn). Litter fall from year 1984-1997 was sorted, dried and weighted by Elon Manfredsson. Dry weights digitised by Ulla Nylander. Files do not include measurements of needle lenght and calculated numbers of needles from the original forms. Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment (Institution för vatten och miljö) has a specific task from Havs- och vattenmyndigheten to collect, store, check quality and to make available water chemistry data and biological data from lakes and streams all over Sweden. The aim is to facilitate detection of environmental problems, to provide support for various measures and to follow them up. Quality controlled data from all stations can be found here: https://miljodata.slu.se/MVM/Search ------- At Svartberget water sampling is done monthly year around at two locations Maltbränna (data since 1966) and Svartberget C7 (since 1986) Samples are collected monthly by the staff at Svartberget on either a Monday or a Tuesday in order for the samples to reach the lab in Uppsala before the weekend.
